Bo Horvat scored 1:09 into overtime, securing a 4-3 victory for the New York Islanders over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.

Brock Nelson, Anders Lee, and Kyle Palmieri also scored for the Islanders, while Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves to help New York hold off the Devils.

Nico Hischier, Curtis Lazar, and Jesper Bratt scored for the Devils, who have now dropped four consecutive games after a strong 5-2-0 start to the season. Devils goalie Jake Allen recorded 26 saves.

Horvat netted his third goal of the season on a one-timer in overtime, shortly after Bratt had tied the game for New Jersey with just 1:29 left in regulation.

The scoring opened quickly as Nelson put the Islanders on the board just 1:23 into the game. Hischier answered with his team-leading eighth goal, tying it up with 8:24 remaining in the first period. Lee regained the lead for New York on a power-play goal with 5:57 left in the opening frame.

Lazar brought the Devils even again at 5:31 of the second period, but Palmieri put the Islanders back in front with a goal 8:32 before the end of the period.
