Troy Terry extended his point streak to nine games with two goals and an assist, leading the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night.

Terry now holds the NHL’s longest active point streak, amassing seven goals and five assists over the nine-game span. This marks the longest point streak by a Ducks player since Ryan Getzlaf’s 11-game run in the 2015-16 season.

“He put in the work in the offseason, and now he’s playing with confidence,” said Ducks goalie John Gibson, who made 28 saves for his 23rd career shutout. “You can see it in his game—he’s confident with the puck and making plays. He’s really found his rhythm.”

Ryan Getzlaf contributed a power-play goal and two assists. At the same time, Isac Lundestrom added a short-handed goal for Anaheim, which has earned points in four consecutive games and secured back-to-back regulation wins for the first time this season.

The Ducks capitalized on New Jersey’s struggling penalty kill, converting 2 of 7 power-play opportunities.

“Our special teams really stepped up,” said Ducks coach Dallas Eakins. “We killed penalties, scored on the power play, got an extra one shorthanded, and our goalie was excellent. Sometimes you win ugly, and tonight was one of those nights.”

Jonathan Bernier stopped 23 shots for the Devils, who were shut out for the first time this season. The team also lost defenseman Dougie Hamilton to a lower-body injury in the first period. His status remains uncertain.

“You never want to see a player like Dougie get hurt, but we have to keep playing our game,” said Devils forward Nico Hischier.

Terry scored with a one-timer during a two-man advantage early in the second period and added his second goal on a 2-on-1 break in the third. Getzlaf, who recently became the Ducks’ all-time points leader, scored his first goal of the season in the first period, and Lundestrom capped off the scoring with a backhander after a turnover in the Devils zone.

“We started strong with a lot of energy and had some early chances, but Gibson made key saves,” said Devils coach Lindy Ruff. “As the game went on, we didn’t skate well, and I think the travel caught up to us.”
