The New Jersey Devils have successfully completed a trade with the Calgary Flames to acquire goaltender Jacob Markstrom. In exchange for Markstrom, the Devils will be sending their 2025 first-round draft pick (top 10 protected) and defenseman Kevin Bahl.
The Flames are retaining 31.25% of Markstrom’s salary – $1.875 million.
Markstrom, 34, was drafted 31st overall in the second round of the 2008 draft by the Florida Panthers. He has two years remaining on his contract with a $6 million cap hit.
