The New Jersey Devils have more exciting news this week. After Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier were ranked in the top-20 centers by NHL Network, it was announced that Jack, along with his brother LukeHughes and Quinn Hughes, will be on the cover of EA Sports NHL 25.

For the first time in the game’s history, siblings will grace the cover. EA Sports chose the Hughes Brothers because of their play on the ice, which personifies NHL 25’s significant evolution in gameplay intelligence, and because of who they are as people.

We know the family’s history; the trio has always played hockey together. Quinn Hughes was the first to come to the NHL. He was selected seventh overall in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft. The following season, the New Jersey Devils took Jack Hughes first overall in the 2019 NHL Draft. New Jersey then selected Luke Hughes fourth overall in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

Jack Hughes, who has the potential to be a Hart Trophy candidate for the New Jersey Devils, had this to see about being named to the cover of EA Sports NHL 25.

“It was a very proud moment for all of us when we saw the Deluxe cover,” said Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils in a press release on Thursday. “It reminded us that on the ice, we’re competitors, always learning from each other, but off the ice, we’re brothers who love to play hockey.”

Luke Hughes is coming into his own as a top defenseman in the NHL, and he is very proud of this moment for himself and his family.

“Being on the cover with my brothers is incredibly exciting,” said Luke Hughes of the New Jersey Devils. “We have a one-of-a-kind hockey story growing up together and now a one-of-a-kind cover. We can’t wait for fans to experience NHL 25.”

The Hughes Bowl just got more significant this year, as the Cover Boys will face off twice this season. First, the Devils visit the Canucks on October 30th, 2024. Then the Canucks visit the Devils on March 24, 2025.
