Tanner Pearson scored the decisive goal early in the third period, helping the Winnipeg Jets edge the New Jersey Devils 4-3 on Sunday night and secure back-to-back wins for the first time since mid-November.

Pearson snapped the 3-3 tie at 6:17 of the third, taking a feed from Josh Morrissey in front and slipping the puck past Jake Allen. The victory followed Friday’s win over Los Angeles, which had ended Winnipeg’s 11-game skid. It also marked the Jets’ first one-goal win since Nov. 15, snapping an NHL-record streak of 13 straight losses in such games.

Alex Iafallo, Jonathan Toews and Gabriel Vilardi also found the net for Winnipeg. Morrissey and Cole Perfetti each recorded two assists, while Connor Hellebuyck stopped 24 shots.

For New Jersey, Winnipeg native Cody Glass scored twice, and Nico Hischier added a goal. Allen finished with 18 saves. The loss was the Devils’ fourth in a row, their longest slide since early December.

Iafallo opened the scoring late in the first period when his shot deflected in with 1:10 remaining, but Hischier answered just 37 seconds later by pouncing on a rebound. Glass gave New Jersey its first lead early in the second with a redirection, only for Toews to respond moments later.

A potential Devils goal was overturned following a successful goaltender-interference challenge, but Glass struck again midway through the period. Vilardi countered late in the second with his 18th of the season to tie the game before Pearson’s winner sealed it in the third.
