Stefan Noesen scored twice in the second period, while Jacob Markstrom made 24 saves to help the New Jersey Devils secure a 6-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.

Jack Hughes, Paul Cotter, Nico Hischier, and Erik Haula also found the back of the net for New Jersey, with the Devils netting four goals in a dominant second period.

The Devils tied the game at 1-1 just 1:15 into the second period, thanks to Hughes after Anaheim’s Brock McGinn opened the scoring in the first. Noesen gave New Jersey (6-4-2) the lead at 4:42 of the second and later added a power-play goal with 2:37 remaining in the period. Cotter extended the Devils’ advantage to 4-1 with 1:11 left before the third.

Hischier scored his team-leading ninth goal early in the third to make it 5-1, and Haula capped the Devils’ scoring in the final minute of the game. Ryan Strome tallied Anaheim’s second goal in the third, with James Reimer recording 28 saves for the Ducks (3-4-1).
