Defenseman Dougie Hamilton netted the go-ahead goal for New Jersey with 9:25 left in the third period, shortly after Carolina’s Andrei Svechnikov tied the game just 12 seconds into the period. Bratt sealed the win with a power-play goal — his 10th of the season — with 5:55 remaining.
