Cody Glass fired home the go-ahead goal with 7:36 remaining, lifting the New Jersey Devils to a much-needed 4–3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night and halting their five-game losing streak.
Jakob Markstrom was sharp throughout, turning aside 35 shots, including several high-pressure saves in the final minutes to preserve the victory.

After managing just one goal across their previous three outings, the Devils’ offense finally broke through.

Arseny Gritsyuk delivered a goal and two assists,

Paul Cotter added a second-period tally created off a Senators turnover.
Senators Perfect on the Power Play
Ottawa capitalized on every man-advantage opportunity:
-
Drake Batherson scored twice,
-
Tim Stützle added another power-play marker.
The Senators also went 3-for-3 on the penalty kill, but still came up short despite 28 saves from Linus Ullmark.
Back-and-Forth First Period
The teams traded goals in an energetic opening frame:

Batherson opened the scoring just 1:36 in.
-
Nemec answered with a blast from the high slot.
-
Stützle snapped an eight-game drought to restore Ottawa’s lead.
-
Gritsyuk tied it again with 2:01 left in the period.
